A magnificent antique Edwardian bangle lined with nine enchanting natural opal cabochons with sixteen twinkling old cut diamonds nestled in between. The opals graduate from 0.30ct to 0.80ct in the centre, making a grand total of approx. 5ct.
Opals display a magical rainbow of vibrant colours that shimmer and intensify with the light. Ethereal greens, pinks and blues flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the beauty of planet earth or the aurora borealis, with a burning orange sunset glowing behind.
The band is all 15ct gold and has developed a lovely patina over time. It’s in excellent condition and held securely by a safety chain and box clasp at the side, complete with Birmingham hallmarks, dating it to 1911.
We recommend you insure for £3,500. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
